SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS 2030

May 27, 2017; Mykolayiv, Ukraine.
Lecture for young generation on role of Ukraine in promoting and achieving Sustainable Development Goals 2030 (SDGs). On September 25th 2015, countries adopted a set of goals to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all as part of a new sustainable development agenda. Each goal has specific targets to be achieved over the next 15 years. Institute of Partnership and Sustainable Development promote SDGs in Ukraine and educate Youth how to achieve SDGs by 2030.
Youth face many challenges, including poverty, conflicts, inequality and unemployment. Some 600 million young people live in countries that are fragile or war-torn. There are now 60 million refugees and displaced people. Thousands people die each year searching for what everyone deserves: safety, opportunity and peace. Violent conflict and instability disrupt markets and societies. Half of the world’s population lives in high-risk and conflict-affected areas. Humanity are confronting so many global threats. But young people are not simply accepting this as their fate. We are rising up to challenge power structure, speaking out for justice and human rights and advocating global action for people and the planet. It's time to forge a revitalize global partnership to mobilize everyone for our common future.
IPSD members understand complexity of the World but we think that Humanity is evolving right now. We need to implement new paradigm of intercultural organization, balance of values, way of knowledge, new type of leadership. Change always starts from individuality (unique role of each person) and then spread in society. We sincerely believe that the most important in this process is the role of Youth – generators of future changes! That’s why we share our expertise and empower young leaders to promote SDGs and its implementation in different countries. Future generations of leaders must think longer, more globally, and more collaboratively than ever before. It’s a challenge for our generation to be a truly equal participation of socio-economic and political life of the World but we believe that it’s just a matter of time until new generation take the fair share of the leadership roles.
